Aotearoa Awaits at Paramount House

Aotearoa Awaits at Paramount House

There’s another Paranormal-skewed event on the horizon for you. On Thursday May 26, Broadsheet is offering “a portal to New Zealand”, otherwise known as an immersive party of New Zealand’s culinary, cultural and artistic offering, at Surry Hills’ Paramount House Hotel. There’ll be a Māori welcome, Max is on the wine, Amber Doig is on the snacks, along with Bar Celeste, there will be live art by Estere and music from Natalie Ex. Thirty double passes for mere mortals to win are up for the winning. Godspeed.

(Pet) Nats of Mersel

(Pet) Nats of Mersel

A drop as fun as the weather? The weather may be the stuff of comedy but Mersel is not. The north Lebanon producer is making two (outer)stellar fizzy drinks, with indigenous vines and a lotta pizzazz. Paranormal’s secured both the Leb (Pet) Nat Gold and Let (Pet) Nat Ruby, both 2020. Gold’s a fruity fruit salad on the nose and Aero-style with its bubbles. Its Ruby counterpart? Bubblegummy, berry-y, Saturday’s only salve.

As part of their Marathon Fruité, Jean and Aaron are traversing the terra firma to showcase the latest, greatest and tastiest of autumn 2021. Brutal Wine

Brutal Wine

Brutal Brutal!! A special wine waiting to dock at your place. Christian Tschida’s Brutal!! Pinot Noir offers some of the best out of Burgenland, Austria. Fact: the contents of this bottle is a wine crushed by feet. Its cult status is gained from its cola-y, pine-y notes and it’s not an enemy of rabbit risotto or an evening plonked by an open flame. If we were you, we’d lay up horizontal with Don’t Look Up on the television set.
